Get Healthy This Summer with Family-Friendly Activities
At last! Summer is almost here. It is time to start thinking about all the great activities we can do with our families outdoors. We all know that physical activity is essential.
Still, the reality is most of us simply don’t move enough, including our children. Make it your goal this summer to move more as a family while having fun!
Here are some simple tips to get healthy this summer with family-friendly activities:

Visiting Local Playgrounds and Parks
In Roseville, MN, we are so lucky to have a plethora of well-maintained parks and playgrounds all around our beautiful city. The convenience of having 30 parks, 679 acres of parkland, and open space makes it almost impossible to use location as an excuse for not getting outside with the family. Make a trip to the park part of your regular routine. Your kids will love getting to burn off some energy and you can join in on the fun for some exercise. You will be amazed how much cardio it is to keep up with the kiddos!
Bike Rides
Again, we are so lucky to have tons of paved bike trails at our fingertips. Biking is a great way to get moving while enjoying family time. Remember to wear your helmets and always be. mindful of your surroundings.
Taking a Walk

Walking has numerous health benefits, and the whole family can enjoy an evening walk after dinner to help with digestion and enjoy some quality time together. Did you know there are 67 miles of trails and walkways in Roseville? That means you have lots of options for routes.
Ice Skating and Inline Skating
Ice skating is not just a winter activity. It can be enjoyed year-round at the Roseville Skating Center where open skate is offered. Additionally, the outdoor skate park and inline skating options during the summer months. You can view the current schedule for indoor and outdoor skating here.

Golf is a great way to enjoy Minnesota summers. The Cedarholm Golf Course is a par-three, nine-hole course lined with beautiful gardens and mature trees and can consistently be played in less than two hours by golfers of all ages and abilities.
