Minnesota State Fair – 12 days ending Labor Day
A cherished end-of-summer tradition, the Great Minnesota Get-Together welcomes 2 million guests annually to a world-class showcase of agriculture, entertainment, food, art, science, and industry. Perennially popular are the 500 food items (more than 80 on-a-stick); 900 free entertainment shows; Minnesota craft brews and wines; livestock competitions; the Mighty Midway and Kidway; Grandstand concerts; horse shows; CHS Miracle of Birth Center; baking, fine arts, talent, 4-H and FFA contests; 1,000 vendors; hundreds of how-to demonstrations and exhibits for kids and adults; a fireworks show each evening; and more!
MSRA Back to the 50’s Weekend – last full weekend in June
More than 12,000 street rods, customs, classics, and restored vehicles; 1964 & older, will converge for the 47th annual Back to the 50's Weekend. Cars will blanket the streets of the State Fairgrounds for this three-day event. The weekend is filled with tons of automobiles, fun, music and more!
Wild Rice Festival – 3rd Saturday in September in Central Park, Roseville
A celebration of wild rice, the Minnesota fall season and Native American culture. Event features Native American dancers, hands-on apple cider pressing, live entertainment, traditional wild rice harvesting demonstrations and wild rice soup and fry bread for sale.
