Favorite Attractions in Minneapolis & Saint Paul for Kids

Attractions, Family, Kids, Minneapolis, MN, Roseville, Saint Paul, Twin Cities

If you haven’t heard, every month we are posting a new question to our We Want To Hear From You page asking you to give us insight about some of your favorite things in Roseville and the Minneapolis & Saint Paul metro area. In April we asked what your favorite attractions in the Minneapolis & Saint Paul area are to bring your kids and you responded! Here’s a list of the top three attraction categories that you told us that you love to bring your kids in the Twin Cities.

Bring the Kiddos Outdoors

No matter the season in Minnesota, we love to be outside enjoying whatever Mother Nature throws our way.  You might argue that the outdoors isn’t an attraction, but we have to disagree! There is so much to do outdoors in Minnesota so we’re allowing this bend in the ‘rules’.

“Several times a year we’ll walk around downtown Minneapolis and the highlight is a round trip walk across the Stone Arch Bridge.” — Lois E.

“Love taking my kids to the Minneapolis and St. Paul Farmers Markets.” — Niki J.

“Como Park is at the heart of our family. Whether it’s sledding at the golf course in the winter, walking down to the lake for ice cream in the summer or hitting Como Zoo any time of the year, our 4 kids love every aspect of Como!” — Maria G.

“I love the Winter Carnival. So much to do, including the ice sculptures, skating, live music, and hot chocolate in Rice Park. Great enjoyment for families!” — Norden H.

“One of my favorites is free concerts in Central Park in the summer.” — Sara M.

“Any of the numerous parks. We especially like to walk around Lake Harriet. That might not be an “attraction”, but our kids love being outside.” — Alexis T.

Kids Love Museums

You love bringing your kids to museums because they’re learning and they don’t even know it. They love going to museums because it’s just plain FUN. The Minneapolis and Saint Paul area offers over 10 museums and historical sites, making education fun for kids and also for you!

“We like the Minnesota Children’s Museum and The Bakken Museum.” — Kris O.

Baseball is a Family Favorite

One popular response was Minnesota Twins games and Saint Paul Saints games — we couldn’t agree more! From the family friendly atmosphere to every kids favorite ice cream in a helmet, baseball games are a great attraction to bring kids. The Twins offer a Cub Family Section where  you receive a ticket in the alcohol-free family section and receive a FREE hot dog and Pepsi. St. Paul Saints games are not just about baseball, they’re also about entertaining the crowd! They have an entertainment team of more than 10 characters including everyone’s favorite mascot, Mudonna and their popular ball pig. There’s always something extra going on at CHS Field when the Saints take the field!
