Top Roseville Area Swimming Spots
The summer heat is in full force, so it’s the perfect time to pack your bags and spend a day at the beach or pool! We’ve rounded up our top three favorite places in the Roseville area to spend some time cooling off.
Lake Josephine
Lake Josephine is located right in Roseville, and has everything you need for an afternoon of fun and sun! Start out by cooling off in the lake at the beach. When you’ve had enough of the water, you can take advantage of the playground, fishing pier, or boat launch. The picnic area and charcoal grills are the perfect way to either begin or end your afternoon with a delicious cookout. For dessert, be sure to head to the Dairy Queen across the street.

Minneapolis Chain Of Lakes
If you’re looking for a little more action, head over to the Chain of Lakes. Comprised of the area surrounding five lakes in Minneapolis, this popular destination always has something happening. There are five beaches you can take a dip at (three on Bde Maka Ska and two on Lake Harriet), multiple sport areas, bike and walking paths, fishing piers, and more! Be sure to check the schedule for the Lake Harriet Bandshell to see if your visit will coincide with one of their many events throughout the summer. You can also rent canoes, kayaks, bikes, and paddle boats and boards through Wheel Fun Rentals at Bde Maka Ska and Lake Harriet.

Como Regional Park
Get the best of all worlds with a visit to Como Regional Park. Located just one mile south of Roseville, you can take your pick of lake or pool here. Make a splash at the park pool, which features an aquatic zip line and climbing wall, lazy river, children’s pool, six-lane lap pool, diving platforms and more. Although there is no swimming at the lake, you can enjoy the fishing pier, or canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boating or boarding with a rental from Wheel Fun Rentals. If being on the water is not your thing and you’d rather just enjoy the view, they also offer rentals of surrey bikes. You can also catch a show at the Como Lakeside Pavilion, if you’re lucky.

Other great places to enjoy the water include the Rosebrook Park wading pool in Roseville, the Jim Lupient Water Park in Minneapolis, and the indoor Shoreview Community Center waterpark.
