For those who want it all, Central Park is the place to be. Divided into 6 main areas which are connected by walking and biking trails, it is home to multiple sports fields, a lake with a fishing pier, playgrounds, and more.
Central Park at Lexington Avenue is located right in the heart of Roseville, featuring biking and lit walking trails surrounding Bennett Lake. There is a playground and bocce ball courts as well as sand volleyball courts for competitive summer play. Central Park is also home to the Frog Rank Amphitheater, which houses the Summer Entertainment Live @ The Rog series as well as the July 4th Party in the Park.
Central Park Victoria West is Roseville’s picnic and play destination. This portion of Central Park Victoria West includes an inclusive playground, tennis courts, fitness pods and paved trails around Bennett Lake. The inclusive playground features a We-Go-Round, zip line, bucket swing and other inclusive elements and four fitness pods are located on the south side of the park. The pods provide outdoor exercise equipment including elliptical, pull-ups, hand-bike and more. They are accessible and fit for use by people of all abilities.
You can walk for miles in this 115-acre Roseville Park and see little sign of development — just hilly terrain with lots of pine trees, wetlands, prairie grass, and savanna.
The site, which includes some of the highest ground in Roseville, was home to a 30-million-gallon, underground water reservoir that for years had been operated by the City of St. Paul. When the reservoir became outdated, St. Paul sold the land to the City of Roseville in 1999.
