Whether we like it or not it is time to say goodbye to summer and hello to fall. The good news is that there is a ton of fun things to do this fall. Check out local events and happenings below.

Roseville Fall Event Guide

Wild Rice festival – September 17th 10am-4pm

Location: Harriet Alexander Nature Center

Cost: Free

Ages: All

A celebration of wild rice, Native American culture and the Minnesota fall harvest. 

Highlights:

  • Children’s games and activities
  • Hands-on apple cider pressing
  • Storytelling and other live entertainment
  • Traditional wild rice harvesting and honey extraction demonstrations
  • Gibbs Farm activities
  • Language learning activities
  • Wild rice soup, fry bread and other tasty treats
  • And much more!

Como Quest – September 17th & 18th 9-11:30am

Location: Como Zoo

Cost: $100+ (per team)

Ages: All

Featuring a collaborative, curiosity-driven treasure hunt created for the GooseChase smartphone app, family-friendly games and crafts, and fabulous silent auction items, Como Quest provides a fun experience for all. It also is a great way to teach the next generation how to support the life-giving conservation work that takes place at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory every day!

Color Me Happy – September 19th– October 10th

Location: Oasis Park

Cost: $60

Ages: 1-6 years

Let’s color your child’s world with happiness. This art class will build your young artist’s self-esteem as they gain new skills, make new friends, and create adorable, colorful masterpieces. We’ll create 3D creations, and get messy with fingerpaint; we’ll even use a special spin-art technique to make the cutest, most colorful artwork ever seen. After taking this class, the art table will definitely become your child’s happy place. Get ready to roll up your sleeves and color yourself happy! Children must be accompanied by a caregiver. Fee is per adult/child pair

Tapped & Uncorked – September 23rd 6-10pm

Location: The Oval

Cost: $10-$35

Ages: 21+

Sample offerings of local craft beer, wine and cider; plus you can opt to buy a ticket for the VIP Spirits Tasting tent. Try a game of Human Foosball, purchase food from food trucks and enjoy live music with your friends. All this under the stars, outside, rain or shine, at the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL.

With the help of Eureka Recycling and the City of Roseville, this will be a Zero Waste Event!

Apple Festival – September 24th 10am-4pm

Location: Gibbs Farm

Cost: $5-$8

Ages: All

Don’t miss the chance to celebrate fall with a visit Gibbs Farm heritage orchard. Sample apple varieties, explore the prairie and take part in some community seed saving with MN Seed Project.

Annual Rock, Gem, & Mineral Show – September 24th  10-5pm & 25th 10-4pm

Location: Minnesota State Fair Grounds – Dairy Building

Cost: $2 suggested donation

Halloween And Harvest Art & Crafts Fair – October 8th 10am-6pm & 9th 11-5pm

Location: Hidden MN

Cost: Free

Ages: All

20+ local vendors all with their very own goods, wares, and services to sell. Plus, Hidden MN will be offering their escape rooms, puzzle box rentals, and more throughout the day as well.

Keepsake Halloween Craft – October 28th 9:30-10:30am

Location: Oasis Park

Cost: $20

Ages: 1-6

Park your broom at the door and come on in! Together, you and your child will create an adorable picture of a haunted house, complete with spooky handprint ghosts. What a great keepsake! The kids are welcome to wear costumes to class. Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
