“Great way to spend an afternoon”

Destination: SeaQuest

“Three generations (two kids, two parents, two grandparents) loved it. Everyone’s favorite was the aviary where the parakeets ate out of our hands. It was fun to feed the manta rays, the Koi and the ducks! The aquarium exhibits were unusual and interesting to watch. The kids are already asking to go again!”

“Great ice, great times”

Destination: Guidant John Rose MN Oval

“Amazing skating facility for families or for a pickup hockey game. The ice is perfect every time and it extends the outdoor skating scene by 3 or 4 months. The hockey rinks are set up for all levels of skill from first-timers all the way up to advanced players. And if you get a little chilly, the warmed viewing areas are a nice pit stop.”

Fun Fact: The OVAL is the largest outdoor refrigerated skating facility in North America.

“One of my favorite places”

Destination: Como Park Zoo & Conservatory

“Always one of my favorite places since I was little. Now I’m happy my own children enjoy it too! Great places for photos, educational experiences, hands on learning, exercise, and fun. This zoo is so worth your trip.”

Fun Fact: One of the last zoos offering free admission.

“Mini escape from city life!”

Destination: Harriet Alexander Nature Center

“The boardwalk! So great to comfortably stroll over the wetlands. We tried a class from the Parks and Rec department and my kids loved it. Very cool that it’s also a rehabilitation center for injured animals. Lovely place. We will be back.”

Destination: Gamezenter

“Meet and play any board game for free? This place is awesome! Lovely open, clean and friendly space. It’s perfect for test-running a game before you buy, and there’s no pressure to make a purchase when you’re here. The staff was great, the food was good, and I beat my kids in Settlers of Catan. I wish my town had something like this.”

Fun Fact: Table space is free, and the game library is stocked with hundreds of classics.
